Improved Self-Sensing Speed Control of IPMSM Drive Based on Cascaded Nonlinear Control

This paper presents a nonlinear cascaded control design that has been developed to (1) improve the self-sensing speed performance of an interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) drive by reducing its and torque ripples phase current harmonic distortion (2) attain maximum while utilizing minimum current. The system consists two controls for loop. A fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is employed outer loop regulate rotor shaft speed. Model predictive (MPCC) utilized inner currents. equation dq reference derived implement per armature (MTPA) achieve using values. model adaptive (MRAS) was mechanism. IPMSM compared with traditional schemes. stability sensorless mechanism studied pole placement method. proposed verified based on simulation results. robustness ensured under various loads in wide range. dynamic improved circumventing need tune proportional-integral (PI) controller. enhanced significantly designed model.
